On On October 26-31, 2018, The US-Algeria Business Council in partnership with the Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Embassy of Algeria, in Washington, DC will host the 2018 US Energy Trade Mission to Algeria for US companies seeking opportunities in the energy sector.

Through site visits, introductions to key decision makers in the Algerian Government and business to business meetings, this trade mission will give US executives an edge in the energy trade between Algeria and the United States of America. The event is a platform for US companies seeking opportunities in the energy sector. It will be an opportunity for US companies to meet with viable Algerian partners active in this field. New ventures will build a life bridge between Algeria and the United States. This annual high-profile energy trade mission will feature the following:
- On October 27, 2018, Official visits to Sonatrach Affiliates in Hassi Messaoud including meetings with the regional director of Sonatrach, ENSP, ENTP and ENAFOR in Hassi Messaoud (Meetings with CEOs and executives)
- On October 28, 2018, Registration to attend the Seventh edition of Hassi Messaoud International Exhibition: Expo of Suppliers of Oil and Gas Products and Services: Exhibition, Conferences & Workshops in Hassi Messaoud, Ouargla Algeria.
- On October 29-30, 2018, Registration to attend the Sonatrach Algeria Future Energy Conference in Algiers
- On Oct 31, 2018, Meetings at the ministry of Energy and Sonatrach HQ. Pre-arranged business-to-business meetings.
Annually this is the most prominent USABC activity and it notably increases the profile of participating companies.
The Honorable Madjid Bouguerra, Ambassador of Algeria to the United States, remains a key supporter of these trade missions and his ongoing support and leadership have secured numerous high-level meetings for the US delegates participating in the trade missions.
